CCAC Releases Postseason Awards

The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced their men's basketball 2022-2023 All-Conference Awards. Holy Cross College men's basketball players Beau Ludwick, Tommy Snyder, and Phil Robles II received All-Conference distinctions.

Tommy Snyder, from South Bend, Indiana, earned multiple CCAC honors. He was named the conference Freshman of the Year, as well as being awarded to the All-Freshman Team and First Team All-Conference. Snyder is the first freshman in the history of Holy Cross College men's basketball to be named the CCAC Freshman of the Year. He was the leading scorer for the Saints at 20.3 points per game, which was third-best in the league. The 6'6 forward also recorded a team-best 8.6 rebounds per game, while also shooting 60% from the field. Snyder's best statistical game came in the win at Cardinal Stritch University, where he recorded a double-double with 34 points and 15 rebounds.

Beau Ludwick, from Granger, Indiana, was named CCAC Honorable Mention All-Conference. This honor caps off Ludwick's four-year career with the Saints, which includes back-to-back National Tournament appearances (2020 & 2021) and Regular Season CCAC Co-Champion in the 2019-2020 season. Usually tasked with defending the opponent's best perimeter player, Ludwick averaged 8.3 points per game while shooting 50% from the field. The 6'2 senior guard also recorded 4.2 rebounds per game. His best statistical game came in the win over East West University where he scored 18 points on 8/10 shooting from the field.

Phil Robles II was awarded to the CCAC All-Freshman Team. The South Bend, Indiana native was second on the team in scoring with 12.0 points per game. The 5'9 guard shot 38% from three and a team-best 87% from the free throw line. Robles II's best game came in the win over Olivet Nazarene University where he logged 27 points and 5 rebounds, while going a perfect 9/9 from the free throw line.

Behind Ludwick, Robles II, and Snyder the Saints finished with a 14-14 regular season record. Holy Cross earned a bid to the CCAC Postseason Tournament, before falling to No.1 seeded Olivet Nazarene in the quarterfinals.
